Sheila Buff has been writing about health, nutrition, and medicine since 1996. Shes the writer behind eight national bestsellers and many other successful titles. She has particular expertise in diabetes, nutrition, weight loss, eating disorders, heart disease, immunology, dental health, women's health, hospice care, and many other health issues.
In addition to her work as a health writer, Sheila Buff is noted for her work in natural history, the outdoors (particularly birdwatching and hiking), and gardening.

She is an honors graduate of Washington Square College at New York University, where she was a University Scholar and received the Baer Award for excellence in English. She lives in New York's beautiful Hudson Valley with her husband, novelist Joe Buff, and their dog Daphne.
